All reservations made through this website must be accompanied by valid credit card details. The value of the first nights accommodation will be taken on the day of reservation and the balance will be collected prior to your departure.
All rates are quoted in NZ dollars on a per night basis and include GST (15%). All accounts must be settled directly with Ranges & Rivers Ltd T/A Motel De La Mer. The prices indicated are per room, for the number of people and the date(s) selected previously, unless otherwise specified (packages). Rates do not apply to conferences, conventions or special events for which contracted rates and special terms and conditions may apply.
You must be 18 years or over.
Payment will be taken in full at the time of booking and proof of ID will be required on arrival and with the presentation of your credit card.
For reservations without a valid credit card a bond equivalent to the first nights accommodation will be required along with the payment for the accommodation. Your bond will be refunded on departure once your room has been inspected.

Direct Bookings/Reservations with the Motel will be at the contracted rates in New Zealand (NZD) dollars and will be due for settlement upon confirmation or by alternative arrangement. Method of payment (Cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners, Debit Card or Eftpos).
Cancellation & Refund Policy:
The following cancellation and refund policies will apply:
All cancellations and amendments must be received in writing.
Refunds will only be made to the credit card debited for the original transaction.
A full refund less a cancellation administration fee of $25.00 will apply when cancellations are received 48 hours or more prior to arrival.
Cancellations received less than 48 hours prior to arrival will not be refunded and 100% of the total accommodation amount will be charged. This includes no shows and cancellation of nights after your arrival.

Motel de la Mer has the right to remove any registered guest who:
Causes a disturbance whilst on Motel premises.
Is under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Deliberately fails to comply with the Motel building regulations.
Under these circumstances refunds will not be availability.
Foreign Exchange Payments
Offshore Payments/Refunds may fluctuate based on the exchange rate applicable on the day of processing and the price advertised might not be the same price charged or refunded to the credit card account supplied.
Credit Card Charges:
A surcharge will be applied to all credit card payments as follows:
Visa/Mastercard - 2.5%
American Express/Diners - 2.95%.
All other Credit Cards 3.95%
Surcharges do not apply for payment by cash, direct credit or Eftpos.

Check in time is 2pm - 9.00pm (unless by prior arrangement)
Check out time is 7.30am - 10am (unless by prior arrangement)
Children and Extra Guests
We have two one bedroom and two studio spa rooms that can accommodate extra guests. A charge of $30.00 per extra person applies. A child is regarded as an extra person.
Special Event Reservation
All reservations over a Special Event Period, for example Mission Weekend or Art Deco; require a minimum deposit of 50 per cent and in some cases, full payment, at the time the reservation is made.
Special Event Reservation Cancellations
For cancellations received within 90 days of the event, 50 per cent the deposit will be retained (non-refundable).
For cancellations received within 7 days of the event, no refund is available, and your credit card will be charged for the balance of your reservation value.
For your comfort and that of our other guests Motel de la Mer has a no pet policy. Should we discover a pet has been staying, the room will require a special clean and you will be charged a cleaning fee of $250.
The cooking of foods such as curry and fish or any other odorous style cooking is not permitted. These cooking smells linger and are unpleasant for other guests who come to stay. If you have cooked foods of this nature, a minimum cleaning fee of $250 will be applied. Please respect other incoming guests after your departure.
